Superstitions

 A superstition is an irrational belief arising from ignorance.  There are many irrational beliefs that are held by ignorance such as:

1. The baseball player who will not wash his jersey after a win for good luck
2. A black cat that crosses your path brings bad luck
3. Bride and groom seeing each other before the wedding spells doom for the marriage
